B.Braun Project Could Be Fast-Tracked

Construction of a new headquarters for medical device maker B.Braun in Upper Saucon Township could be fast-tracked if the company decides to stay within the boundaries of an already-approved plan for a different building.

Construction of a new headquarters for medical device maker B.Braun in Upper Saucon Township could be fast-tracked if the company decides to stay within the boundaries of an already-approved plan for a different building, Lehigh Valley Business reported recently.

An article published by LVB quoted the township's director of community development, Sharyn Heater, who said B.Braun will be able to avoid the land development process and commence construction if it doesn't change the footprint of the plan that was approved several years ago.

B.Braun announced in October that it intends to build its new headquarters on 21.5 acres near the confluence of Route 309, I-78 and Center Valley Parkway in Upper Saucon.

The property was purchased from Lehigh University and will be the future home to a new "state-of-the-art" corporate campus, a press release posted on the B.Braun website indicated.
