Bear Sighting Reported in Valley Green
A black bear was spotted in an Upper Saucon Township neighborhood Monday evening.
A black bear was seen strolling through the Valley Green neighborhood in Upper Saucon Township Monday night at around 7 p.m., Patch reader Jane O'Malley reported in an email.
The sighting followed one which occurred Monday morning on the campus of Southern Lehigh High School.
O'Malley said Upper Saucon Township Police were "trying to track the bear," which was reportedly seen on the west side of Camp Meeting Road before crossing into Valley Green.

"Last I heard...at about 8:30 p.m. the bear was spotted crossing Rt. 378 over to Old Bethlehem Pike," she added.
A black bear sighting was also reported near Route 412 in Lower Saucon Township Monday morning.
