So. Lehigh Library to Celebrate 'the Big 5-0' in August

A party for Southern Lehigh library patrons will be held Saturday, Aug. 24 from noon to 3 p.m.

As part of its fiftieth anniversary celebrations, the Southern Lehigh Public Library is planning a public party in August—and you're invited.

Residents are being invited to attend "the Big 5-0" bash, which will be held Saturday, Aug. 24 from noon to 3 p.m., according to a press release.

"This won’t just be another 50th anniversary—we want to celebrate the next 50 years as we transition into a Community Center serving the Southern Lehigh communities of Coopersburg, Center Valley, Upper Saucon Township and Lower Milford," the press release indicated.

As part of that transition, residents will be asked to tell the library about what kinds of programs and events they would like to see scheduled in the future.

Highlights of the Big 5-0 party will be music, food, a raffle and a library card drive.
