Eight candidates are vying for four seats on the Southern Lehigh School Board in the May 21 primary.
Eight candidates—four incumbents and four challengers—are on the ballot for the May 21 Southern Lehigh school board primary. The candidates are vying for four seats. All eight candidates are cross-filed. The top four vote-getters on each ticket will advance to the general election. If the same four candidates are the top vote-getters on each ticket, the race will essentially be decided in the primary barring any write-in campaigns in the fall. Southern Lehigh School Board approves several personnel changes.
The Southern Lehigh School Board approved several personnel changes at its meeting Monday night: James Binder was approved as a health and physical education substitute teacher for the 2012-2013 school year. Stephanie Hutzayluk was approved as an elementary education, K-6 substitute teacher for the 2012-2013 school year. Benjamin Tannous was hired as head boys basketball coach for the 2013-2014 school year at a rate of $8,483 This is the rate for the 2012-2013 school year.
