Former Narcotics Agent Announces Candidacy for District Judge
Retired narcotics agent Sherie Datis announced Wednesday she's running for Coopersburg district judge.
Sherie Datis, a former supervising narcotics agent for the state Attorney General's Office, announced Wednesday she is running for the district judge seat based in Coopersburg. Datis is now in the running with Upper Saucon resident Cathleen Hendrzak, Coopersburg Constable Mike Zweifel, Coopersburg police Chief Daniel Trexler and Bethlehem police officer Scott McEllroy. All five candidates are cross-filed for the primaries this May. According to her press release, Datis is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in 1983 and worked as a patrol officer in Ephrata Boro (Lancaster County) until she was hired as a narcotics agent with the Pennsylvania State Attorney General's Office, Bureau of Narcotics and Drug Control.
