Hess Station in Coopersburg Robbed

A man with a handgun robbed the Hess gas station in Coopersburg, according to The Morning Call.

A man with a handgun robbed the Hess gas station at 308 N. Third St. in Coopersburg Tuesday night, according to a Morning Call report. Citing police radio reports, the Call said around 10 p.m. the man pulled a gun, took money and left in a vehicle. He was described as being about 5-feet-6 to 5-feet-10, wearing a black coat over a gray hoodie and a black baseball cap.

My son works @ that one & the one on 378 several times when I pick him up I have seen a couple people that I got a bad feeling. like the guy I thought was on something b/c he kept walking around the biulding. I was told about what happened yesterday am then he says I work thier 1 evening next week. I happen to be off that night guess I might hang out in parking lot.   more ›

Alleged Eye-Gouger Charged with Separate Assault, Same Day

Paul Mindler III is charged with a second assault New Year's Day in a separate attack hours before allegedly attacking his father

Paul Mindler III, 33, of Coopersburg is charged with a second New Year's Day assault and robbery following reports that he attacked a man in his driveway and took his wallet. This follows Mindler's arrest for allegedly attacking his father and trying to gouge out his eye. The alleged victim walked into the police station in the late afternoon on New Year's Day to report the incident. According to the criminal complaint filed by Upper Saucon Township police, the man claimed Mindler attacked him after dropping off Mindler's girlfriend at Mindler's residence. The man told police that as he was pulling out of the driveway, an ATV pulled in front of the car, forcing it to stop. The driver of the ATV, later identified as Mindler, "jumped off the…

Man Robs Murphy Jewelers, Flees with Rolex

The Rolex, valued at more than $10,000, was stolen Sunday afternoon.

Police in Upper Saucon are on the lookout for a man who robbed Murphy Jewelers in the Promenade Shops Sunday afternoon and fled with a Rolex watch worth $10,650. The police press release states: "On Sunday, 7/17/2011 at 13:35 hours (1:35pm), the individual depicted in the attached surveillance photos entered Murphy Jewelers located in The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley.   "The individual was described as a black male, early 20s, approximately 5’8”, pierced left ear, a 'chin strap' beard, and with what appeared to be a tattoo on the right inner forearm.
