Gross revenue from slot machine play in 2012 in Pennsylvania grew by 2.7 percent and 7.6 percent at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported on Thursday. Gross revenue from slots play across Pennsylvania grew from $2.41 billion in 2011 to $2.47 billion in 2012. At the Sands, slots revenue grew from $271 million to more than $291 million. The Sands posted the second highest slots play gains in the state after the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, where revenue increased by more than 11 percent. Revenue from table games play at Pennsylvania casinos was $57.1 million in June 2012, according to a report released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. That represented a 15.5 percent increase in revenue from table games during June of this year compared to June of 2011. The June figure boosted table games revenue during the 2011-12 Fiscal Year to $663.9 million, an increase of 30.8 percent over the previous state fiscal year. June 2012 revenue at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem was $12.6 million compared to $8.5 million for June 2011. Pennsylvania's gaming revenue is among the highest in the country.
