A roundup of restaurant inspections and violations in Southern Lehigh in August and September
If you are interesting in reading a particular establishment's inspection sheet, please go to the Pennsylvania Food and Safety Website and type in the name of the establishment. Pita Pit- According to records, a patron of the Pita Pit complained that employees were behind the counter without hair nets. Upon inspection, the violation was noted and corrected. Capital Blue- On Dec. 15, Capital Blue opened its doors at the Promenade Shops of Saucon Valley. The facilities will include a smoothie bar.

Special to Emmaus Patch By Chrissy Cilento, Emmaus High School Junior On Saturday, the good, old-fashioned spirit of competition inspired more than 100 victory-thirsty people to line up and compete in Lehigh Valley Health Network's (LVHN) first-ever Simulation Olympics qualifying event at the Agri-Plex in Allentown. The competitors used a simulator known as the dv Trainer from Mimic, like the ones used to train robotic surgeons at the hospital, to complete a challenge and receive a score. The event wasn’t just for future Olympians, though. There were dozens of science experiments and science clubs present at the Agri-Plex for people to check out and get interested in.
