What Christmas Specials Are on TV Today?

TV specials, Christmas-themed cartoons and holiday movies will fill the airwaves on Christmas Day

  If your holiday plans include settling down to watch TV and relax, here's a list of Christmas specials. Tuesday's selections range from "Matchmaker Santa" and other holiday movies showing all day on the Hallmark Channel to cartoon specials such as "Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale."

Snow Coming Christmas Eve for Lehigh Valley

Several forecasters say the Lehigh Valley is likely to have a white Christmas

9 a.m. Sunday update: We're still expecting a bit of snow Christmas Eve but the weather looks like it is going to get messy after the holiday with sleet and freezing rain expected Wednesday. Here's the forecast from the National Weather Service: Christmas Eve: Snow likely, mainly before 1 am. Cloudy, with a low around 29. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Christmas Day: A slight chance of snow before noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 39. With the holidays upon us, Patch wonders aloud about the practice of re-gifting.

Don't be surprised if those holiday towels or spice racks you thoughtfully bought as a gift for a friend or relative end up with somebody else. Re-gifting was good for more than a laugh on an episode of "Seinfeld." It's apparently a time-honored practice among some people. Or is it? Lehigh Valley Hospital offers workshops to help grieving families cope with the holiday season.

These harbingers of the season produce emotions of joy and excitement for many.
