Tour Old Bethlehem Steel Plant This Saturday
The Steelworkers' Archives in Bethlehem is presenting tours of the former factory led by ex-steelworkers this summer.
The Steelworkers' Archives in Bethlehem is again offering tours of the former Bethlehem Steel plant this summer.
According to a brochure about the tours—which are led by former steelworkers—the next tour will be held July 27 at 1:30 p.m.
Tours depart from the Bethlehem Visitors Center at SteelStacks, 711 E. First St., Bethlehem, and cost $15 (children ages 12 and under are free).

The tour will include stories/work life experiences as told by the guides and discussion of (but not limited to) the following locations:

- Steelworkers Memorial Park and Steelworkers Veterans Memorial
- Iron Foundry
- Main Gate Plant Patrol
- Carpenter Shop/Pattern Shop
- AE Shop/Electrical Repair Shop (Armature Winding & Electric Motor Repair)
- Corporate and Plant Offices
- Plant Dispensary
- Central Tool and Central Tool Annex Drop Forge EFM
- Rigger Wash Room
- Blowing Engine House
- Hoover-Mason Trestle Blast Furnace
Additional scheduled tour dates are as follows: Aug. 10, Aug. 24, Sept. 7 and Sept. 24 (all tours begin at 1:30 p.m.).
