Coopersburg Community Yard Sale Set for July 20

A yard sale map will be available online before the event. To guarantee your sale is listed on the map, be sure to register by July 1.

Do you have too much stuff?

If you live in Coopersburg and you answered "yes," you may want to sign up for the borough's first Community Yard Sale, which will be held Saturday, July 20 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is being hosted by the Coopersburg Business Revitalization Program.

A map of yard sale locations will be available online one week before the sale, at www.revitalizecoopersburg.org.

To guarantee that your sale is highlighted on the map, you should register for the event by July 1.

To register, contact the CBRP's Mary Himmelberger at 610-739-1520 or maryh@lehighvalleychamber.org.

In an email, Himmelberger noted that $5 spaces are also available for non-Coopersburg residents, to set up on the grass at the Village Center on Main Street, near Borough Hall.

To secure a spot at the Village Center, contact Debbie at 610-349-1340. Funds from the sign-ups will benefit the Community Outreach Benefit (COB), an organization that is willing to take people’s leftover items to sell at the St. John’s flea market in November.

COB is an organization that hosts an annual one-day block party to raise funds for local families in need due to extraordinary medical expenses.

This year's COB Block Party will be held Sunday, July 28 from 1 to 7 p.m. at St. John's, Coopersburg.

The block party will feature games, auctions, raffles, bingo, art, food and entertainment.

For more information about COB and the block party, visit www.cobcares.org or call Debbie at 610-349-1340.

The CBRP is encouraging residents who are able to do so to consider donating a portion or all of their yard sale proceeds to worthy local causes, such as COB.
