U. Saucon Mosquito Tests Positive for West Nile Virus

Pennsylvania's West Nile Control Program says a mosquito from Upper Saucon Township has tested positive for the virus.

A mosquito in Upper Saucon Township has tested positive for the West Nile virus, Pennsylvania's West Nile Control Program reported on its website Tuesday.

Elsewhere in Lehigh County, two mosquitoes in North Whitehall Township also tested positive for the virus, the state reported.

The state Department of Environmental Protection and county staff "are responding with additional surveillance and control as needed," an email from the West Nile Control Program stated.
