Southern Lehigh Cheerleaders Take 5th at Nationals
Southern Lehigh High School Competitive Cheerleading Squad places 5th at National Competition in Orlando, FL.
Southern Lehigh's competition cheerleaders returned home this week with a new trophy for the case. Over this past weekend, the team competed--and placed fifth --at the National Cheerleading Competition in Orlando, FL.
According to the Southern Lehigh School District's new "Achievement Spotlight" web page, the cheerleading squad's accomplishments include:
- Colonial League Competition - 1st place
- Northeast Regional Competition - 1st place
- Pocono Regional Competition - 6th place
- Garden State Competition - 1st place, Upper Darby Competition - 1st place
- Delaware Valley Competition - 2nd place
- District XI PIAA Competition - 2nd place
- State Championship Competition - 4th place
- 5th at Nationals in Florida.
The Competition Cheerleading Squad left for Nationals Feb. 8 and returned yesterday.
