Dana Elizabeth Valasek of Coopersburg has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Reading's Alvernia University. Valasek studied at the university's Main Campus.
Alvernia's graduation ceremonies were held May 11, 2013 and included a Baccalaureate Mass on the main campus, and Commencement at the Sovereign Center in Reading. Commencement speaker Dr. Beverly Malone received an honorary degree of humane letters before addressing students.
