UST Supervisors Ask if Developers Have Right to Pick Project Engineer

Project Engineer choice, land sale and collective bargaining all on the agenda for tonight's meeting

Tonight's Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors agenda includes the following items: 

Motions include: 

   a.    Collective Bargaining Agreement with Municipal Workers of Upper Saucon Township

-Consideration of a motion to approve a five-year Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Municipal Workers of Upper Saucon Township and to authorize the Township Manager to execute said agreement on behalf of the Township.

b.    Settlement Agreement in Lieu of Condemnation – Ridge & Valley Rod & Gun Club

Consideration of a motion to approve the settlement agreement, deed in lieu of condemnation and easement agreement in lieu of condemnation, all between the Township as condemnor and the Ridge and Valley Rod and Gun Club as condemnee, and all for the purpose of developing and constructing a municipal water supply well and related facilities on the property at 7600 Blue Church Road South.

Dicussion Items include: 

    1. Memorandum of Understanding with Lehigh County – Assignment of Police Officer to Lehigh County Digital Forensics Laboratory – Lehigh County will reimburse the Township for the Police Officer’s wages and benefits (District Attorney James Martin will be present to discuss this matter)

    1. Zoning Hearing Board Agenda – March 4, 2013

    1. Request by Supervisor Benner for the Board to consider possible sale of Township-owned property:

i. 7486 Passer Road (former Haring Property – 90 ac.)

ii. 3584 Jacoby Road (Tumblebrook Golf Course – 71 ac.) 

    1. Request by Supervisor Benner for the Board to consider allowing developers to select either the Township Engineer or the Alternate Township Engineer to review development plans
