Parts of Blue Church Road, Limeport Pike Closed in U. Saucon

Motorists are being detoured onto alternate routes whiles sections of Blue Church Road and Limeport Pike are closed for paving in Upper Saucon Township.

Motorists who travel Blue Church Road in Upper Saucon Township can expect temporary road closures that began Monday to continue through Aug. 30, according to a news release from PennDOT's District 5 Engineering Office in Allentown.

According to the press release, Blue Church Road is closed between Tuscany Court and Old Bethlehem Pike for daytime paving.

The work is being performed by a contractor for Upper Saucon Township, the release indicated.

Motorists are being detoured onto Beverly Hills, Grant and Locust Valley roads while the paving is taking place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.

Limeport Pike between Lanark Road and Saucon Valley Road is also expected to be closed during those hours, weekdays, for paving through Aug. 30, PennDOT said.

Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones.
