Lower Milford Township Seeks Emergency Coordinator

Lower Milford is also currently seeking a volunteer to serve on the Recreation and Open Space Board.

Lower Milford Township is seeking a local resident to serve as its volunteer emergency coordinator, according to information posted on the township's Facebook page and website.

The township's emergency coordinator is responsible for coordinating resources in response to a disaster, and also "follows up with state, federal and county agencies with reports and data from disasters," according to the website.

Another responsibility is updating and maintaining the township's emergency management plan.

According to the township, the appointee will be given "extensive training" and receive monthly updates and instructions at county-level meetings.

Lower Milford is also currently seeking a volunteer to serve on the Recreation and Open Space Board.

Some of the five-member board's responsibilities include planning and coordinating the annual Lower Milford Fall Festival, recommending park improvements and fundraising.

Monthly meetings are held at the township building on an as-needed basis.
