L. Milford Supervisors Adopt 2014 Budget Without Tax Increase

At their meeting Thursday, the Lower Milford supervisors adopted a 2014 township budget that doesn't include a real estate tax increase.

At their meeting Thursday, the Lower Milford Township Board of Supervisors adopted a 2014 township budget that doesn't include a real estate tax increase.

The information was announced via the township's Facebook page.

In other business, it was reported that:

—Supervisors approved the hiring of a professional accounting firm to conduct a 2013 audit, "as required by law due to the Pennvest loan for the sewage plant in Limeport."

—Supervisor William Roy will continue to be the township's Emergency Manager and Supervisor Mike Snovitch is continuing to work on a report about the proposed closing of a Southern Lehigh elementary school. The report is expected to be completed by the end of the month.

—An approximately one-acre township property between Pine Tree Lane and Limeport Pike was won by bid by an adjacent property owner. The new owner will keep the grass and brush on the property maintained as part of their enlarged yard.

The next township supervisors meeting will be held Monday, Jan. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the township building, 7607 Chestnut Hill Church Road, Coopersburg.
