Court Overturns Lower Milford Quarry Decision

A plan for a stone quarry on W. Mill Hill Road in Lower Milford Township was incorrectly rejected by the township planning commission, Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court has ruled.

The Lower Milford Township Planning Commission's 2011 rejection of a plan for an approximately 85-acre stone quarry on W. Mill Hill Road was overturned Tuesday by the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court, the Express-Times reported.

The court found that the planning commission's decision was flawed, and that the scaled-down proposal by Geryville Materials Inc. must be approved, according to the article.
