Council Approves Carpenter Alley Stop Sign

Coopersburg Borough Council voted unanimously to approve a stop sign at Carpenter Alley and S. Fourth Street, after hearing about a concern expressed by a resident.

At a recent meeting, Coopersburg Borough Council voted to approve the installation of a stop sign at Carpenter Alley and S. Fourth Street.

Council vice president Dennis Balascak said a resident had recently expressed concern about traffic on the alley, and the fact that a daycare center may be opening nearby on E. Station Avenue.

Council voted unanimously to approve the new stop sign, which was to be mounted on the south side of the alley near a barn.

Councilman Richard Nalichowski estimated that there could be as many as 50 alley intersections in the borough without stop signs.
