Center Valley Golf Course Subdivision Plan Approved

Upper Saucon Township supervisors unanimously approve a proposal to subdivide a 5-acre parcel from the former Center Valley Golf Course at their most recent meeting.

Upper Saucon Township supervisors unanimously approved a proposal to subdivide a 5-acre parcel from the former Center Valley Golf Course at their most recent meeting.

A hotel has been proposed for the site.

Attorney Gregory Kessell, who identified himself as a "principal" in the development group that owns the site, said the ultimate goal for the site is still a hotel while emphasizing that the subdivision application was solely for the creation of a lot.

The Morning Call identified Kessell as the president of Sierra Management Company in an article published in September about the potential for a hotel to be built on the former golf course site.

The hotel that could be built would help fulfill a need for business class accommodations in an area that has become home to numerous offices and corporate headquarters in recent years, the article indicated.

Township manager Tom Beil said the parcel that was subdivided is roughly located across the street from the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, along Center Valley Parkway.

The entire former golf course occupies roughly 200 acres near the junction of Route 309, Interstate 78 and Center Valley Parkway.
