Police making an early-morning traffic stop last month on Interstate 78 in Upper Saucon Township found a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle and arrested the driver—a New Jersey woman.

Jheanell Waters, 19, of Irvington was stopped for a traffic violation at 12:55 a.m. Oct. 25 and consented to a vehicle search, state police at Fogelsville said. The stop was made at exit 60B (Summit Lawn) of westbound I-78. Police said a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle.

Charges were filed with the office of District Judge David Harding of Coopersburg, police said.
