Woman Accused of DUI, Careless Driving

A New Jersey driver stopped on I-78 faces charges of DUI and driving with a suspended or revoked license, state police say.

A woman from Edgewater, N.J. was stopped on I-78 near the Summit Lawn Exit and charged with drunken driving, careless driving and driving with a suspended or revoked license, state troopers said.

State police at Fogelsville got a report that a Land Rover was seen traveling in an erratic manner on Interstate 78 Eastbound near Route 100 about 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 16, according to court records.

A trooper began following the Land Rover, which he reportedly clocked at 80 mph in a 55 mph zone.  He pulled the Land Rover over between the Lehigh Street exit and the Summit Lawn exit and found that the driver, Sashi Mielle Llera, 33,  had glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol, the court records said.
