An Upper Saucon Township man began to gobble prescription pills as part of an unsuccessful suicide attempt after being sentenced Tuesday in Lehigh County Court for having sex with a 14-year-old girl in a cemetery, the Morning Call reported.

According to the newspaper, after 23-year-old Jordan Dean Wenhold of Center Valley was sentenced to nine to 24 months (minus one day) in the county jail, his mother began screaming and accused his victim of being promiscuous, prompting a disturbance that involved both families and had to be quelled by numerous sheriff's deputies.
