An Upper Saucon Township man accused of punching his daughter in the head and threatening to gut her cats and wipe their blood on the walls was fined $100 and sentenced to six months of probation.

An Upper Saucon Township man accused of punching his daughter in the head and threatening to gut her cats and wipe their blood on the walls was fined $100 and sentenced to six months of probation by Senior District Judge Charles Crawford, after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct and harassment charges, the Express-Times reported.

According to the article published by the newspaper, police said Robert D. Sommer, 44, of the 2600 block of Saucon Drive, was extremely intoxicated when he struck his daughter—who called 911 for help—and threatened to kill officers who responded.
