Report: Police Await Blood Test Results in I-78 Crash that Killed Lower Saucon Man

In December Maxwell Musselman was charged with DUI and careless driving by Lower Saucon police.

A fatal crash on I-78 involving a Lower Saucon Township man is still under investigation, according to a Morning Call report published today.

The victim in the , Maxwell Musselman, was 21 years old and lived at 2222 Leithsville Road.

The accident occurred when Musselman's vehicle, which was westbound, crossed over the snow-covered median separating opposite lanes of travel on the interstate and entered eastbound traffic.

A Bangor woman was injured when Musselman's vehicle collided with hers, and the eastbound lanes of the highway in Lower Saucon Township were closed for hours, as police and emergency crews cleared the scene.

In December, Musselman was after Lower Saucon Township police say they observed him entering the Creekside Marketplace shopping center parking lot on Route 412 at a high rate of speed.

After it appeared that Musselman noticed police watching him, he attempted to leave quickly via the south exit from the lot, police said at the time.

At that time, police said Musselman was determined to have a blood alcohol concentration of .09 percent.
