Police: Lower Milford Man Naked, Screaming, Banging on Doors

A Lower Milford man is facing charges of indecent exposure, open lewdness, and disorderly conduct after state police say he was wandering through a Lower Milford neighborhood naked and yelling while banging on front doors and spitting at police.

According to a criminal complaint, police were dispatched at 2am Oct. 7 to Powder Lane in Lower Milford after receiving complaints of a "naked person banging on doors and yelling throughout the neighborhood."

The complaint goes on to say that when state police arrived, they observed a man, later identified as Michael James Whittaker, 23, walking north on Limeport Pike barefoot, naked and yelling. The officer wrote that the man appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. 

Police say they ordered the man to the ground and took him into custody, at which point Whittaker spit at officers. He was not removed from the scene until Lehigh Valley Hospital emergency responders arrived.
