Upper Saucon Township Police are investigating an accident in which a 42-year-old pedestrian walking along Rt. 309 Thursday night was struck by a tow truck, and the man—who suffered several broken bones—could be cited or charged depending on the investigation's outcome, the Express-Times reported Friday.

The man—who is from the Quakertown area—was walking north along the road's southbound shoulder when he was struck by the tow truck driver at about 7:25 p.m., and police say he was walking too close to the road, the newspaper reported.
