Driver Crashed Into House on S. Pike Ave. in Upper Saucon, Police Say

A utility pole and gas line were also struck in the early Monday morning accident.

A 39-year-old Allentown man was hospitalized and could face charges after he allegedly crashed into a house on S. Pike Avenue (Route 145) in Upper Saucon Township early Monday, according to a story published by the Express-Times.

The man was allegedly speeding just before the accident occurred, and the occupants of the house had to be evacuated after a gas line and utility pole were damaged in the crash, in which the vehicle flipped over, the article indicated.

The wreck reportedly happened near the Salisbury Township border.
