The Bucks County District Attorney and Chalfont officials told the press Tuesday night that Officer Jon Cousin has been arrested on charges of reckless endangerment and false reports to law enforcement.

They said he falsely claimed he had been shot while on patrol early Monday morning.

Chalfont Borough officials have put Cousin on adminstrative leave and have begun an "employment investigation" into the matter, borough manager Melissa Shafer said in a statement Tuesday night.
