Coopersburg Teen Chases Intruder From House

Witness says intruder was armed with a baseball bat.

An early morning report from WFMZ says a Coopersburg teen was able to stop a home invasion in progress late last night.

The teen was outside the home on Fairview Street when he saw a suspicious person outside the house. A man inside the home said the person approached the home wearing a ski mask and carrying a baseball bat. The report says the 16-year-old boy saw the person, rushed into the home and grabbed a large kitchen knife. The report goes on to say that the witness and teen chased the intruder from the home. The teen was hit by the baseball bat but not injured enough to be taken to the hospital.
