A 10-year-old boy has been ruled competent to testify against an Upper Saucon man accused of molesting him while the man was substitute teaching at Union Terrace Elementary School in Allentown earlier this year.

A 10-year-old boy has been ruled competent to testify against an Upper Saucon Township man accused of molesting him while the man was substitute teaching at Union Terrace Elementary School in Allentown earlier this year, the Express-Times reported.

Michael James Agrippine, of the 6800 block of Main Street, is accused of assaulting the boy, who was 9 at the time, in a restroom at the school.

Agrippine reportedly confessed to the assault to police, but has asked that his confession be tossed because of what he alleges was police intimidation during his interview.

Another pretrial hearing in the case is scheduled for Jan. 6 before Lehigh County Judge Kelly Banach, the Express-Times article indicated.
