Stanley D. Slomcinsky Jr., 65, Was Devoted Father, Grandfather [Obituary]

Stanley D. Slomcinsky Jr., 65, of Center Valley, passed away on Nov. 1, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Stanley D. Slomcinsky Jr., 65, of Center Valley, passed away on Nov. 1, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in Hartford, Conn., he was the son of Mildred (Gagliardi) Slomcinsky of Vernon, Conn., and the late Stanley Slomcinsky Sr. He was the husband of the late Cindy (Popielarczyk) Slomcinsky, who passed away in 2009. Stan was a well-respected Regional Sales Director for Pilot Freight Services, Allentown, for a number of years. He graduated from South Windsor High School and received his Bachelors Degree from Central Connecticut State University. He was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, Limeport. Stan was a loyal husband, devoted father, loving grandfather and a mentor to many. He was an avid Boston and UConn basketball fan and always enjoyed his time with his grandson.

SURVIVORS: He is survived by his mother; daughters, Gyna and husband Ryan Soucy of Wilton, Conn., Katie and husband Todd Fredericks of Lehighton, Pa.; sister, Janet and husband Todge Armata of South Windsor, Conn.; brother, Donald and wife Terri Slomcinsky of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Slomcinsky of Manchester, Conn., Nancy Schaller and husband Greg of Waterford, Conn.; grandson, William Soucy, as well as several nieces and nephews. Stan was predeceased by a brother, Ronald.

SERVICES: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, St. Josephs Catholic Church, 5050 St. Joseph Road, Limeport, PA 18060. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton streets, Allentown. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Limeport.
