Robert W. Ritter, 82, Formerly of Center Valley [Obituary]

Robert W. Ritter died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013.

Robert W. Ritter, 82, of Lower Saucon Township, formerly of Center Valley, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Faye J. (Deily) Ritter. He was born in Emmaus on Oct. 16, 1930 to the late William T. and Cora L. (Kale) Ritter. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Robert was the Coordinator for Research and Development and managed the Hazardous Waste Disposal Program at Air Products and Chemicals, Trexlertown, for 41 years until his retirement. He was a former member of St. Paul's "Blue Church," Coopersburg, and an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, surf fishing in Florida and trout fishing in the Lehigh Valley area. He was a member of Friedensville Rod & Gun Club, Guthsville Rod & Gun Club, Great Swamp Fish and Game, and Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, Hellertown.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of 62 years; son: Forrest C. (Dorothea M.) of Perkasie; grandchildren: Melissa Moyer (Brandon) and Nathan Ritter (Kristin) and great-grandchildren: Evan, Adalyn, Weston, Jordan.

Family and friends are invited to call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour Wednesday will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Woodland Cemetery, Upper Saucon Township. CONTRIBUTIONS

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Great Swamp Fish and Game, 2650 Schukraft Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
