Eleanor S. Lewis, 85, Was Born in Columbus, Ga. [Obituary]

Eleanor S. Lewis, 85, of South Whitehall Township, formerly of Washington D.C., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at Luther Crest, South Whitehall Township. She was the wife of the late Robert Lee Lewis Jr., who died Sept. 5, 2002. She was born in Columbus, Ga., on Jan. 16, 1929 to the late John S. and Eva P. (Peyton) Sullivan. She was a member of Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem.

Survivors: Loving son: Robert L. Lewis III (Joan K.) of Center Valley; grandchildren: Thomas Kendrick Lewis and Heather Padgett Lewis. She was predeceased by a son, John Peyton Lewis, who died in 1974.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, 321 Wyandotte St., Bethlehem. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. Private interment will be at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Md. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
