Thursday is Last Day to Register for Library 5K, Get a Free T-Shirt
The "Book It!" 5K race will be held on the Saucon Rail Trail on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 8:30 a.m., beginning and ending at Upper Saucon Township Community Park, across from the Southern Lehigh Public Library in Center Valley.
Thursday, Sept. 26 is the final day to register for the Southern Lehigh Public Library's upcoming "Book It!" 5K race and be guaranteed a T-shirt, organizers said.
The race will be held on the Saucon Rail Trail on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 8:30 a.m., beginning and ending at Upper Saucon Township Community Park, across from the library.
Prizes, food, music and entertainment will be some of the other highlights of the day.
There is a $30 registration fee for adults participating in the 5K (children 10 and under are free with an accompanying adult, but not eligible for a T-shirt or prizes).
Register online or in person at the library, 3200 Preston Lane, Center Valley.
Proceeds will benefit the library, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and launching a capital improvements campaign.
