Register for Parent/Child Workshops at So. Lehigh Library

"Play to Learn" parent/child workshops at the Southern Lehigh Public Library will be held Sept. 19 through Oct. 17.

Southern Lehigh Public Library is offering a series of "Play to Learn" parent/child workshops this fall.

According to a flyer, the workshops will provide an environment in which parents and children ages 12 months to three-and-a-half years interact with age-appropriate educational toys in a relaxed, safe environment.

Parents will also have "the opportunity to speak individually with early childhood specialists on a variety of child development topics," the flyer says.

The workshops will be held Thursdays from 10 to 11:15 a.m., Sept. 19 through Oct. 17.

Online registration is available via the library's website (click on "Programs," then "Children's Programs").

There is a registration limit of 20 children, and parents who register must commit to attending four of the five sessions.

The workshops are being partially funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) as administered by the Pennsylvania Office of Commonwealth Libraries.

The library is located at 3200 Preston Lane, Center Valley.
