Pacifico Closes at Promenade Shops

Pacifico had been involved in a lawsuit that stemmed from a dispute over rent payments to The Promenade Shops, but the center's general manager Dean Shauger said that suit had been resolved, The Express-Times reported Monday.

The Latin fusion restaurant Pacifico in The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley has closed.

As of Monday evening the Pacifico website had been taken down, the web address displaying a "404 (Page Not Found)" error message.

The restaurant was no longer listed on The Promenade Shops website, either.

According to an article published by The Express-Times, Pacifico—which opened at the Upper Saucon Township lifestyle center in 2008—closed on Thursday.

Chef-owner Rafael Palomino owns another restaurant called Pacifico in New Haven, Conn.

The website for that restaurant was functional as of Monday evening.

On the Center Valley Pacifico's Facebook page, a message posted Jan. 11 by admin Marco Santiago Tapia stated that "the restaurant is gone but we will continue to share the LATIN FLAIR through this page, cooking demos, events and more."

Photos and flyers for upcoming events at other local latin-themed restaurants and entertainment establishments—such as El Toro Mexican Grill in Upper Saucon Township—have been posted to the page over the last few days.

Stunned fans of the restaurant have posted comments about the closing such as "so disappointed" and "I'm so upset! That was our favorite place to eat!"

There did not appear to be any information posted regarding Pacifico gift cards.

Pacifico had been involved in a lawsuit that stemmed from a dispute over rent payments to The Promenade Shops, but the center's general manager Dean Shauger said that suit had been resolved, The Express-Times reported.
