Coopersburg Gas Prices Among Cheapest in Region

Coopersburg area motorists are enjoying a perk that some other Lehigh Valley residents don't have—some of the cheapest regular gas prices in the region.

According to an updated list of gas prices posted on the website AllentownGasPrices.com, both Xtra and US Gas on Route 309 were selling regular gas for $3.15 per gallon as of Monday evening.

The only other Lehigh Valley area stations selling gas for less, according to the list of the cheapest current prices posted on AllentownGasPrices.com, were Sam's Club and BJ's—two Allentown-area sellers that require customers to have memberships in order to purchase gasoline.

The current average price of a gallon of regular gas in the Allentown area is $3.25, while the national average price is $3.19 per gallon, the website reported.

Gas prices have dropped considerably from where they were at a year ago, when they were averaging $3.62 in the Lehigh Valley and $3.47 nationally.
