The Snow Day Announcement You Have to See

A private school raises the bar when it comes to announcements.

Area educators, consider the bar raised.

Like so many on the East Coast, Durham Academy in North Carolina declared Thursday a snow day.

But Durham Academy Head of School Michael Ulku-Steiner and Assistant Head of School/Upper School Director Lee Hark were significantly more creative in making the announcement than most.

Watch their hilarious video above, and tell us, would you like to see your school do a creative snow day announcement?

I am not surprised children have no respect for education or teachers. I would fire both of them in a New York Minute. You are educators and not friends. If you make an announcement do it with dignity. How should kids take you seriously the next time you make an announcement of a serious nature.

@Imagine Peace...Lighten up...As a parent, I am the one who teaches respect to my children. I see nothing wrong with this announcement. As a matter of fact, it makes them seem exactly who/what they really are...HUMAN. Administrators should not be looked to as Gods or better/different than taxpayers and parents. They are people just like you. This crazy weather has everyone frustrated and we need to laugh!
