Teen Rockers From So. Lehigh Perform in Bethlehem Saturday

Next to None will perform Saturday outside The Wooden Match, near Musikfest's Banana Island and Plaza Tropical.

Next to None, a teenage rock band from the Southern Lehigh area, will take the stage Saturday at The Wooden Match under 99.9 The Hawk’s “Young Guns Of Rock” tent, according to a release.

The band features Max Portnoy, 14, on drums; Ryland Holland, 15, on guitar; Kris Rank, 14, on bass; and Thomas Cuce, 15, on keyboards and lead vocals.

The Wooden Match bar and restaurant, which is partnering with Musikfest, is next to Musikfest's Banana Island and Plaza Tropical. Next to None will perform beginning at 5:30 p.m., according to the Holland's father, Greg Holland.

The boys began writing their own music at the ages of 12 and 13, according to information on the band's website.

The young musicians’ "Fortune Cookie" video has been viewed more than 29,000 times. The five-minute video was filmed at the Eastern Gourmet Chinese Restaurant in Coopersburg and shows how the song was created.

On Aug. 17, Next to None will be perform in Philadelphia at Liberty Music Fest. The group will join other popular bands on a cruise line tour from Feb. 18 to 22, entertaining passengers sailing from Miami to the Bahamas.

The Battle of the Bands winners played the Vans Warped Tour near Scranton in July.
