New Promenade Store Brings Health Products, Insurance to Retail Market

Capital Blue, a 'health and wellness store,' opens Saturday at the Promenade Shops of Saucon Valley.

A new store set to open at the Promenade Shops this Saturday is bringing a new product to the retail market. 

Health insurance. 

Capital Blue, a 6,700-square-foot "health and wellness store," opens this Saturday at the Promenade.

According to a press release, the store -- owned and operated by Capital Blue Cross -- will boast free Wi-Fi, exercise classes, seminars, a kid's zone and a cafe. Customers can also buy health insurance or check on a pending claim if already a customer. 

The shop will be open to everyone, whether current Blue Cross insurance customers or not.

The day's festivities start at 9:45am Saturday Dec. 15 with a ribbon cutting. The news release says the day's festivities will feature healthy food, live entertainment, raffles every half-hour, holiday carolers, health screenings, face painting, balloon tying, and much more. All of the food and activities associated with the grand opening is free.

"We are excited for the public to stop by and check out the health and wellness services, insurance products, and convenient information on health that this unique store has to offer," said Gary D. "We know that every individual has their own journey to good health and Capital Blue is the place for people to get started with personalized service."
