Members of a group called Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America protested at state Rep. Justin Simmons' (R-131) office in Coopersburg Wednesday, eliciting support in the form of honks from passersby, the Express-Times reported.

The group members want the Pennsylvania state legislature to pass a bill that would require background checks for all gun buyers, but Simmons said he opposes passage of House Bill 1010 because it would infringe on his constituents' Second Amendment rights, the article published by the newspaper indicated.

The 131st legislative district includes the Southern Lehigh area, as well as portions of other nearby municipalities.
