The Lehigh Valley including the Southern Lehigh area is under a freezing rain advisory until 10 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

The Weather Service says:
- Scattered wintry precipitation today could begin between 6-9 p.m. Friday -- possibly as a combination of light snow and sleet
- Precipitation should become widespread overnight as light freezing rain/drizzle and continue into mid to late Saturday morning.
- All untreated surfaces will become icy overnight.
Precipitation is expected to change to rain Saturday and rain could be heavy at times.
Sunday will be sunny and warmer with a daytime high in the 40s.
