Eagle Scout Commended by Upper Saucon Supervisors

Upper Saucon Board of Supervisors commended resident Matt Scharf on achieving status of Eagle Scout. 

Scharf is a member of Troop 191 in Friedensville.

For Scharf's Eagle Scout project he worked on restoring Saucon Creek near the Spring Valley Sportsman's Club, deepening the waters to allow fish a better habitat. 

"The [Regional Boy Scout Council] said it was one of the hardest Eagle Scout projects ever done," said father Greg Scharf. "He had to fill out all the paperwork and get permits like a developer."

In his spare time, Scharf is also a varsity member of the Southern Lehigh soccer team.
