Discolored Water Possible in Coopersburg

Testing and flushing may cause sediment in Coopersburg water lines to become stirred up this week.

Due to the testing and flushing of fire hydrants this week, discolored water is possible for some Coopersburg residents, according to an announcement posted on the borough website.

The testing and flushing of the hydrants by water authority personnel could cause sediment to be stirred in water lines throughout the borough, the statement said.

Residents who experience discolored water are advised to let it run for a few moments, until it clears.

The flushing will continue through Thursday, the announcement indicated.
