The Special Education Funding Commission, which is made up of lawmakers and administration officials, recently held a hearing in Bucks County to discuss the costs of educating students with special needs in Pennsylvania. The commission is working on developing a new formula for distributing special education funding to school districts. Its recommendations are due this fall.
