The Special Education Funding Commission, which is made up of lawmakers and administration officials, recently held a hearing in Bucks County to discuss the costs of educating students with special needs in Pennsylvania. The commission is working on developing a new formula for distributing special education funding to school districts. Its recommendations are due this fall.

August is Pennsylvania Produce Month. Our state’s 4,300 vegetable growers harvest more than 200,000 tons of produce. Items marked with the PA Preferred logo are all from Pennsylvania growers and can easily be identified in supermarkets and farmer’s markets. Learn more here.
