PA House Manufacturing Caucus Assessing Job Creation Issues

Members of the House Manufacturing Caucus recently toured two Philadelphia-area plants and discussed the issues faced by Pennsylvania’s manufacturing sector with company officials. The visits were the first of many planned trips to manufacturing facilities across the state, both large and small, to gain a greater understanding of the challenges they encounter in today’s economy. Lawmakers will use what they learn to further advance policies and initiatives that support the Commonwealth’s jobs climate. I am one of nearly 100 members of the bipartisan caucus. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is again accepting applications for its Small Business Advantage Grant Program to aid small businesses looking to conserve energy and prevent pollution. Under the program, businesses can apply for a 50 percent matching grant of up to $9,500. The application deadline is Sept. 6. Learn more here.
