Well, I finally made it to the Indian Tower in Upper Nazareth Township after a few people told me it was a sweet place to take a sunset picture. It certainly did not disappoint.
The Indian Tower -- the monument and accompanying observation tower -- sits off W. High Street, adjacent to the Holy Family Cemetery. I will definitely return for future photo shoots!
I don't usually post this many pictures, but it was really hard to edit any out. The Indian Tower has quite a bit of graffiti on it, but luckily that doesn't show up in the sunset pictures.

Beautiful pictures! My grandmother was buried here on Monday, and I was saddened to see the graffiti on the tower. It's such a peaceful resting spot, and unfortunate that some would make it ugly with graffiti.

Michele, my sincere sympathy goes out to you and your family on the loss of your grandmother. I'm glad my pictures could bring a little comfort into your day.

Growing up in Nazareth in the '40s, many times especially during the fall and winter months after the park pool closed, a group of we kids would walk up through the cemeteries and fields to go to Indian Tower. We loved climbing up the stairs and looking out over the fields. I was really dismayed several months back to read how graffitti had been painted on the tower, and was hoping that somehow it had been cleaned up by now.

That graffitti has been there ever since I remember and I'm 28 and live in Nazareth my entire life. Some of it is quite offensive if you take the time to read it. I think it would be a great eagle scout project to clean the tower up.
