HIT and RUN Driver nearly killed me!

HELP US FIND THE UNKNOWN HIT AND RUN DRIVER WHO CRASHED INTO MY CAR AS HE/SHE WAS SPEEDING HEAD-ON TOWARD ME IN MY LANE!!!

This occurred on Monday, August 20, at approx. 2:20 P.M.,  on Main St. northbound, just outside of Coopersburg.  No one stopped their car to help or give witness to this crime. The perpitrator NEVER even slowed down or stopped. He just continued speeding away.    Had I not swerved to avoid him, you would be reading my obituary instead of my blog!        Fortunately, due to my alert actions, I was not injured more seriously.          Unfortunately, the Hit and Run Driver continued at a high rate of speed and eluded the police and ALL responsibility for his highly unconscionable act, leaving me stranded, in shock, and beat-up physically and emotionally.    This coward also left my son's car,  and his/her own car,  completely smashed on the passenger's side and unsafe to drive.    Worse yet......I was on my way to pick up and take my son home from the hospital after he spent 6 hrs. in preliminary tests for his 3rd Spinal Surgery!!    His car, that which the HIT & RUN driver severely damaged, was his sole transportation to and from his surgeon for the next 3 months.     Please, please help us find this person who must be held accountable for his/her irresponsilble and dangerous driving, which has now caused our family emotional and financial distress. My son has been disabled since 2005, is about to undergo another major surgery, and cannot afford repairs to his car.

Our only hope will be to find the driver and the car and to hold him/her completely, personally and financially, responsible and accountable for their illegal deed!

The car that hit me is, to the best of my recollection : A BLACK NISSAN ALTIMA or SIMILAR TYPE VEHICLE. IT VERY LIKELY HAS EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO ITS PASSENGER SIDE FRONT BUMPER, FRONT WHEEL AND TIRE, AND DOORS.           Please!! If you witnessed this accident, have seen this vehicle, or know the owner's identity...contact the Upper Saucon Twsp. Police or respond to me directly here or to the flyers we've posted on Rte. 309 in Coopersburg.            Thanks so much!!

I'm not sure I can picture what happened very well. Carol, were you driving Northbound towards Coopersburg and another car swerved into your lane? Or were you past Coopersburg headed towards Route 78? Or were you headed South and the black car swerved into your lane? In either case, he hit the passenger side because you swerved to avoid a head-on collision? I was not on 309 at that time of day, but for anyone that did witness this, perhaps you can describe the area where this happened a little better. Near Burger King? South of Burger King? Near Putt-U?

Since Pennsylvania has no-fault insurance, you should be covered but I agree that the bad driver should be charged and held accountable.

Pennsylvania's "no-fault" insurance deals only with medical expenses. So, if you are injured in an auto accident, your own auto insurance company pays your medical expenses up to the limit you have, regardless of who is at fault. The at fault party is responsible for the damages to your car.

I didn't realize that. Thanks for the clarification.
